4 WAYS YOU'RE SABOTAGING YOUR SPRAY TAN
1) NOT PREPPING
Your skin is the canvas for the tan! It is important to follow all of our prep instructions (provided via email and on our website) for the best possible results.
2) SHAVING THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
Shaving/waxing must be done 1-2 days prior to your spray tan appointment. Shaving right before can result in a streaky + uneven tan, lighter or no development on your legs, strawberry legs (little brown dots in your pores), and skin irritation.
3) WEARING TIGHT CLOTHING
Your post spray tan outfit needs to be loose! Tight clothing will rub off the solution and leave indentations resulting in a splotchy, uneven tan. No jeans, leggings, bras, socks, etc. Opt for open toe sandals/flip flops. We also suggest wearing long clothing to protect your tan while you're processing. This ensures it won't rub off on your seat/seat belt in the car + helps prevent any skin to skin transfer.
4) NOT USING SPRAY TAN FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
Did you know your products could be affecting your tan? Many drugstore soaps (Dove) and bar soaps can cause your tan to fade faster and even turn it brassy! Be sure to use something free of parabens & sulfates- we suggest our tan friendly Body Wash. Avoid body oils and lotions containing mineral oil. We suggest using our Body Moisturizer in the morning and Tan Extend Lotion at night to ensure a long lasting, vibrant tan:)
