TAN PREP
The final result of your tan is dependent on proper prep and aftercare. Please follow our tan prep and aftercare instructions for best results and to avoid tan development issues.
EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate head to toe using an oil-free body scrub or exfoliating mitt (available in studio) the day before your appointment. Any old self/spray tan must be removed
SHAVE + WAX
Shaving and waxing must be done the day before your appointment. Shaving and waxing day of will result in skin irritation and unfavorable results
COMPLETE ALL OTHER BEAUTY SERVICES
Your spray tan is your last stop. Complete all other beauty services (mani/pedi, facial, massage etc) the day before your appointment.
If you need to get your nails done after your tan, just a polish change is recommended. You do not want to be soaking/scrubbing/rubbing your fresh spray tan!
DAY OF
WHAT TO WEAR
LONG: Wear long clothing to protect your tan while processing. This ensures it won't rub off on your seat/seat belt in the car + prevents any skin to skin transfer. Yes, even when it’s hot out you still want to wear long clothes. NO SHORTS
LOOSE: Avoid anything tight. NO JEANS, LEGGINGS, BRAS, SOCKS/SNEAKERS ETC. Tight clothing will rub off the solution causing unfavorable results. Wear open toe sandals/flip flops
DARK: Fresh tans have the possibility of transferring onto your clothing. Our solutions are water soluble and will rinse out of most clothing however, we still suggest wearing something dark (preferably black)
If it is raining the day of your appointment, please cover up + bring an umbrella for extra protection. You must avoid getting wet while your tan is processing
Your skin must be free of any deodorant, makeup, lotion/oils etc. Do not shower right before your appointment. Showering right before alters your skin's pH and leaves behind product residue on the skin preventing the solution from adhering and developing properly
RINSE INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to your first rinse: avoid sweating, getting wet (no washing hands), and touching your skin
Wait the recommended time to shower:

EXPRESS RINSE TIMES:

Using just your hands and water, gently wipe the bronzer off your skin until the water runs clear. If you experiencing "streaking" there may be remaining bronzer, give it another rinse
You will see little to no color after all the bronzer is off, your tan will take 24 hours to fully develop
*Hormonal changes (period, pregnancy etc), medications, showering too close to your appointment/improper prep can all affect the outcome of your tan*
TAN CARE
MOISTURIZE
Moisturize 1-2x daily using a spray tan friendly lotion
Shaving exfoliates the skin and may compromise your sunless color. Use a new razor and be super gentle
SHAVING
SWIMMING
Limit your time in the water - chlorine and saltwater are very drying. Always rinse off afterwards and gently pat dry with your towel, no rubbing! Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms + long, hot showers and baths.
SPF
Your tan does not contain SPF and will not protect you from the sun. Lather up with a spray tan friendly sunscreen, avoid aerosol and oil based.
