TAN PREP + CARE

Achieving a perfect #BRONZE is dependent on proper prep + aftercare. It is important to read and follow all instructions below to have the best possible outcome and avoid tan development issues

TAN PREP

EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate head to toe! An exfoliating mitt is best or opt for an oil-free body scrub. Any old self/spray tan should be removed

MOISTURIZE
Moisturize daily up until the day of your tan (there should be nothing on your skin the day of). Focus especially on areas that tend to be dry- hands, feet, ankles, knees, elbows

SHAVING + WAXING
Shaving and waxing must be done at least 24+hrs prior to your appointment, not the dat of! Shaving/waxing right before can result in a streaky + uneven tan, lighter or no development, strawberry legs (little brown dots in your pores), and skin irritation

WASH YOUR HAIR
Wash your hair prior to your appointment or plan your hair wash schedule around your tan.Your first rinse needs to be water only, no soap

COMPLETE ALL OTHER BEAUTY SERVICES
Your tan is your last stop! All other beauty services must be done at least 24hrs prior to your tan
If you were unable to get your nails done prior to your tan, just a polish change is recommended. You do not want to be soaking/scrubbing/rubbing your fresh spray tan!

DAY OF

Wear dark, long, loose clothing + open toe sandals. Do not wear anything tight- no jeans, leggings, bras, sneakers etc. A sweat outfit/ lounge wear is best. Yes, even when it's hot you still want to wear long clothes- this ensures it won't rub off on your seat/seat belt in the car + helps prevent any skin to skin transfer. If it's raining opt for slippers or uggs + bring an umbrella!

Your skin must be free of deodorant, lotion, makeup, perfume etc.  We do not recommend showering the same day as your appointment. If you need to - quick rinse, no soap at least 4+ hours before your appointment

RINSE INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to your first rinse: avoid sweating, getting wet, and touching your skin

Wait the recommended time to shower:

SIGNATURE: 8 HOURS
EXPRESS: 2-5 HOURS

2 HRS//LIGHT

3 HRS//MED

4 HRS//MED/DARK

5 HRS//DARK

Using just your hands and water, gently wipe the bronzer off your skin until the water runs clear. If you experiencing "streaking" there may be remaining bronzer, give it another rinse

You will see little to no color after all the bronzer is off, your tan will take 24 hours to fully develop

*Hormonal changes (period, pregnancy etc), medications, and improper prep can all affect the outcome of your tan*

TAN CARE

MOISTURIZE
Moisturize 1-2x daily. Avoid  products containing mineral oil

USE A SPRAY TAN FRIENDLY BODY WASH
Many drugstore soaps (Dove) and bar soaps can cause your tan to fade faster and even turn it brassy. Be sure to use something free of parabens + sulfates

SHAVING
Shaving exfoliates the skin- only shave if you absolutely need to. Be sure to use a new razor and be super gentle. Do NOT wax, it will take your tan right off!

SWIMMING
If swimming, limit your time in the water. Be sure to rinse off afterwards and pat dry with your towel, no rubbing. Avoid hot tubs completely!

SPF
Your tan does not contain SPF and will not protect you from the sun. Avoid oil and aerosol sunscreens
